Hi beautiful souls! As many of you know, I’ve been on a transformative journey, apprenticing to become a community herbalist. If you are signed up to my newsletter, I’ve been sharing the bts of my journey and the wisdom I’ve gained from working with plants in such an intimate way. As I near the completion of my apprenticeship, I’m ready to share the magic I’ve learned with all of you.

On September 1st, 2024, I’m inviting you to join me for “Grounding in the Bronx” – a day that blends my newfound herbal wisdom with the intuitive energy work I’ve long been passionate about. This isn’t just a nature walk; it’s a remembering, a celebration of our roots, and a chance to see our beautiful Bronx through new, herbalist eyes.

What I’m Offering to You

WHAT: Grounding in the Bronx: Nature Walk & Intuitive Readings

WHEN: September 1st, 2024

TIME: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

WHERE: Riverdale, Bronx, NY

Here’s what this magical ass day includes:

1. ​Herbal Wisdom Nature Walk (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
   • We’ll start with a cup of sacred tulsi (holy basil) tea to center ourselves
   • Explore the hidden natural gems of the Bronx with me
   • Learn about local plants and their medicinal properties
   • Practice grounding techniques in the concrete jungle
2. Lunch Break & Integration (11 AM – 12 PM)
   • Time to reflect, journal, or simply be with nature
3. ​Personalized Oracle & Tarot Readings (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
   • Gain deeper insights with a 30-minute oracle reading from me
   • Receive guidance with a 30-minute tarot reading from an incredible diviner (I’m keeping their identity a surprise, but trust me, you’re in for a treat!)

COST: The nature walk is offered on a pay-what-you-can basis (suggested energy exchange donation: $50), making it accessible to all. The personalized 1-hour readings are priced at $300 per person, reflecting the in-depth, one-on-one nature of the experience. You will receive a 30 minute oracle reading from me immediately followed by a 30 minute tarot reading from our special guest.

BYOP: Bring Your Own Plants

Now, to add a little twist to this exciting time together – this event is BYOP (Bring Your Own Plants)! Whether it’s your abuela’s favorite tea, some cannabis (if that’s your thing), microdose chocolates or any plant ally that speaks to you, I encourage you to bring it along to enhance your experience. This is about creating a personal, sacred experience with the plant medicines that resonate with you. As a reminder, this is a judgment-free zone. We honor all plant medicines and the wisdom they bring. Can’t wait to see what you bring!

Why This Matters to Me (and to Us)

As a Black Dominican American woman, reconnecting with plant wisdom has been like coming home to a part of myself I didn’t know was missing. Our ancestors knew the power of plants, and now, as I’ve learned these traditions, I feel their strength flowing through me and I want to share that with you all, Vecinas.

Living in NYC, it’s easy to feel disconnected from nature. But I’ve discovered that magic is all around us – we just need to know how to see it. This event is my way of bridging the gap between our urban lives and the natural world that’s been here all along. Earth has been patiently waiting for us to remember to remember.
