A Behind the Scenes Look into this Experience

It’s been a whirlwind since January 14th, but I’m finally back home in VA riding the waves of the magical energy we created together at the Rooted Visionary Experience in NYC. I’ve done events all over the country and being home will never get old for me. There is just something so magical that happens when we get together in NY. There really is no place like home!

Let’s take a moment to bask in the transformative journey we shared…

Intentional Details

It’s all in the details and we never miss a moment to be intentional and loving.

We had an “Energy Bar” at the check-in desk that had custom aura mist intended to cleanse or ground guests energy field and awaken their inner visionary as they entered the sacred space. We also featured a “Tea Bar” with thoughtfully crafted teas by my favorite apothecary in Virginia, Wild Roots Apothecary. The selected teas were curated to match the energy of the event allowing participants to choose blends made for heart-opening, grounding, or clarity/vision.

Connecting with Ancestral Roots

We kicked off the day with a Guided Ancestral Journey done by yours truly. I was so nervous as this is the most people I’ve ever done a guided journey with at once but it was absolutely beautiful and felt like a powerful exploration into our roots. You could feel the room buzzing with the shared energy of our ancestral wisdom. I loved over hearing the insights you all received as I walked around the room during the breakout groups. The journey really helped set the tone for a day of self-discovery.

Community Altar

Prior to the event, we warmly invited guest to honor their ancestral lineage by contributing to our community altar and bringing 1 framed photo of an ancestor or past loved one who influenced them significantly. This ancestor altar was a beautiful focal point during the event, complemented by flowers, candles, crystals and special offerings our ancestors enjoyed like cafecito and mamajuana. As a tribute to Washington Heights, we also publicly honored and included local ancestors who were pillars in the neighborhood and contributed to community in a significant and impactful way. Those community ancestors were: Normandia Maldonado, Flor Maria Miolan and Carlos Alberto Martinez.

Altar for Yemayá

Another focal point of our gathering was Altar for Yemayá, . We honored her nurturing energy and the way she infused the space with motherly love. Shells, blue hues, white +blue flowers and symbols of the ocean adorned her altar, inviting Yemayá’s essence to guide our visions. Symbolically, Yemayá represents motherhood, fertility, and the protective, nurturing qualities of the maternal figure. Her compassionate energy is seen as a source of solace and support, particularly during times of emotional turbulence and we are so grateful for the way her spirit filled the room with a deep sense of love and care.

Harmonizing with Sound

Mecca did her thing! I’m so happy to hear you all loved her symphony aka Soundbath Meditations. Mecca skillfully wove a tapestry of vibrations that resonated through our entire beings and made everyone forget that they were in the concrete jungle. Her gifts allowed us to immerse ourselves in cosmic sounds, creating a space for self-reflection and elevation. Many of you loved familiarizing yourself with the gong as well as the ocean drum!

Fireside Chat and Heartfelt Conversations

The Fireside Chat and Q&A session featuring Josie and myself was a beautiful exchange of wisdom. You all got to experience a more intimate side of me as I vulnerably shared the details of what has felt like a deep initiation these last 7 years. We often see the results of the work, but we seldom get to hear the truth about what it took to become the beautiful butterfly the world gets to experience. I hope hearing about my constant cycles of death and rebirth gave you the courage to honor your pace and keep expanding on your own personal path.

Intimate Circles, Big Connections

I’m very big on making sure that everyone connects and shares intentionally during my events which is why we had a few breakout groups planned throughout the day to discuss the big themes that were coming up within larger group convos. The smaller group discussions allowed us to dive deeper. It was a chance to connect intimately, sharing dreams and fears, and forging bonds that extended beyond the event. I loved watching you all show up authentically and share what was on your heart within your own circles. Lots of throat chakra healing happened in real time!

Feeding the Soul

We indulged in not just food but a sensory experience. The artisanal charcuterie spread and plant-based Caribbean lunch added flavors that mirrored the diverse stories and dreams in the room. Shoutout to Next Stop Vegan + Brie on the Chisme.

The Magic Continues

As we wrap up the in-person chapter, the journey continues online. The Online Vision Board Workshop is the canvas where the seeds planted during our time together will flourish.

The Rooted Visionary Experience was more than an event; it was a journey into the self, a celebration of community, and a call to manifest the magic within. I trust that the visions we nurtured together are taking root and I can’t wait to see what blooms as you put your vision boards together in the comfort of your own home and space.
